Plant Walk & Intro to 2014 (Spring Session) Sonoran Herbalist Apprenticeship (SHA) Program: Phoenix, AZ

If you’re interested in our SHA Program but not sure what to expect this FREE class is the perfect opportunity to check it out. John Slattery will be conducting a generalized plant walk at South Mountain Park in Phoenix, AZ Friday afternoon, February 28.
This walk will include aspects of our Spring Session of the SHA. Afterwards, some time will be available to answer any questions prospective participants may have.The class will include:
a Plant Walk touching on botany, plant identification, safety in using wild plants, ethnobotany, wildharvesting practices and ethics, part of plant utilized, timing of harvest, medicinal preparations, wild food resources, preparation of wild foods, plant constituents, habitat observation, plant energetics for the practicing herbalist, sensory discovery with plant medicines, healing through plant medicine & vibratory medicine, flower essences, philosophy of Vitalism, and more!
